“The UTOPIA” Built-in Driver Backrest in material and thread to closely match your stock seat. Can be adjusted up/down as well as forward & back to fit your height and riding position. Pivots while riding for natural position and folds forward to allow passenger to mount & dismount. Easy to install with minimal tools. Available in recommended “Comfort” pad for optimal, long-riding support as well as shorter “Sport” pad.

Installation & Other Info:
  • This model does require that you unstaple and fold back material & foam from seat pan in order to install mounting bracket. When reupholstering, the bar will reveal where you need to cut a small line in the material for the bar to pass through. Please be assured, thousands of riders have installed this without difficulty and the material will not run or fray. Just installed Utopia backrest on my 2018 BMW K1600B. Easy to install and makes the ride much more comfortable. Wife loves the pouch on the back.This backrest looks like original equipment for the bike.

LLO BOB AND UTOPIA CREW!! It has been 4+ years since I had my backrest installed by Utopia. To all my Canadian riders out there this product is simply "THE BEST" in quality, design and installation on the market today. I had it installed on my 2012 BMW k1600GT (see Utopia's website) and it was a life-saver to have it on my ride from Vancouver Canada to Palm Springs California and back again. Do yourself a huge favor and get this backrest. It will save your spine and muscles regardless of what you ride plain and simple!! THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Installed on my BMW K1600GTL seat yesterday. I'll say it's a great product. Well built and great fit and finish. I studied the installation instruction which I found a little hard to understand. After mounting, the post was about 1/2 to 3/4 inch further back than it showed in the final instruction picture. Needless to say I screwed up. When I went back again and looked at the instructions I saw my mistake. Maybe I can find a used seat and remount it correctly. Great product, instructions could be better.
